We are seeking a talented and experienced Audio Technician for Events to join our team. As an Audio Technician, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining audio equipment for live events, such as concerts, conferences, and corporate events. You will work closely with event production teams, including producers, sound engineers, and other technical crews, to ensure the highest quality audio production and an exceptional experience for event attendees.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate audio equipment, including mixing consoles, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, and other audio gear, for live events according to event requirements and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with event production teams to plan and execute audio production tasks, ensuring seamless integration with other event elements.
- Conduct sound checks and audio tests to ensure optimal sound quality and consistency during events, making adjustments as needed.
- Monitor and adjust audio levels and quality in real-time during events, troubleshoot and resolve any audio-related issues.
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of audio equipment, including cleaning, troubleshooting, and replacing faulty components.
- Collaborate with sound engineers and other team members to coordinate audio production with lighting, video, and other event elements.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in audio production for live events.
- Provide technical support to event organizers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure their audio needs are met and exceeded.
- Train and supervise junior audio technicians, providing guidance and mentoring as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Audio Technician for live events, including concerts, conferences, or corporate events.
- Strong expertise in operating and maintaining audio equipment, including mixing consoles, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, and other audio gear.
- Knowledge of audio production techniques, including sound reinforcement, monitoring, and recording.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve audio-related issues in real-time during events.
- Proficient in using audio software, digital audio workstations (DAWs), and other related tools.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards related to audio production.
- Relevant certifications or specialized training related to audio production or event production.
