Role Overview
The Housekeeping Manager oversees the entire housekeeping department, ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms and public areas. This role involves managing a team of housekeeping staff, creating and implementing procedures, managing inventory, and ensuring that all operational tasks are carried out effectively and efficiently to meet the Brand Standards.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Managing and overseeing all aspects of the housekeeping department, ensuring the cleanliness of guest rooms, public areas, and staff areas
- Developing and implementing housekeeping policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Scheduling and assigning tasks to housekeeping staff, ensuring productivity and adequate coverage
- Ensuring that all cleaning supplies, equipment, and linens are maintained and stocked in a cost-effective manner
- Monitoring the performance of housekeeping staff, providing feedback, conducting evaluations, and addressing any performance-related issues
- Inspecting guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces for cleanliness, maintenance issues, and ensuring compliance with company standards
- Handling guest complaints or concerns regarding cleanliness and ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolutions
- Maintaining records of housekeeping activities, including inventory levels, room inspections, staff performance, and maintenance issues
- Collaborating with other departments, including front desk, maintenance, and food & beverage, to ensure smooth operations and provide the best guest experience
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including sanitation, safety protocols, and the proper use of chemicals and equipment
- Leading, training, and supervising housekeeping staff, providing ongoing guidance and ensuring they adhere to quality standards
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Housekeeping Manager in a 5-star Hotel
- Excellent knowledge of English language. Any additional language will be considered an asset
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong Team Builder with ability to coordinate effectively and motivate a team, towards the achievement of important organizational goal
