They are looking for a Payments Legal Advisor. This position would be ideal for legal professionals with strong expertise in the payments and fintech sector.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Your primary role involves providing legal advice on payment services, ensuring compliance with PSD2, AMLD, and other relevant regulations.
- You are required to monitor regulatory developments and their impact, offering strategic advice for compliance.
- You'll be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements specific to payment services, such as merchant agreements, acquirer contracts, and API service agreements.
- Administering legal support for international expansion, including licensing and compliance requirements.
- Your role also involves advising on marketing materials, structuring payment flows, and addressing legal risks related to fraud prevention, chargebacks, and liability allocation.
Expectations & Requirements:
- Should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); specialization in fintech law is an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a payment institution, EMI, or fintech environment.
- Quite an acquaintance with PSD2, AMLD, GDPR, and Card Scheme Rules.
- Must be skilled in drafting agreements for payment operations and understanding the payments ecosystem.
- Ensure that you deliver compliance-oriented legal input for product development.
- Ensuring quality projects are delivered within defined timelines.
- You are also expected to work independently with high professionalism and attention to detail.
