Mid-Level Systems Engineer Nicosia Based
Qualified candidates will join the field engineers’ section of the technical directorate and will be responsible for technical support, systems installation, IT equipment support for corporate clients and large client contracts.
Required Qualifications
· Contributing from solution design to delivery, implementation, maintenance, and support, as a member of the Infrastructure Team.
· Designing, installing, and configuring complete Infrastructure Solutions, including components like Servers, Storage, Virtualization, Backup, Operating Systems, Cloud etc.
· Designing Hybrid Cloud solutions utilizing technology components from the leading vendors in the industry, like Microsoft, HPE, IBM, Lenovo, DELL, Huawei, Cisco and AWS.
· Designing and implementing virtualization technologies for robust Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Solutions.
· Designing, implementing and supporting Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, Hyper-V, VMware and Veeam solutions.
· Planning, installing, configuring, and supporting Microsoft Cloud Services (Azure, Office 365).
· Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, FIREWALLS, and load balancers. (Configure and optimize network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and Firewalls. Troubleshoot complex technical issues promptly)
· Engaging in Presales activities and supporting the Presales team to design the best techno-economical Solution, including the presentation of the turn-key Solution to the customers.
· Achieving reliable, timely and high-quality design and deployment work, troubleshooting malfunctions of hardware and related operating systems, resolving operational issues and restore services, and being able to accurately diagnose root cause(s).
· Supporting day-to-day operations, maintenance, monitoring and upgrading of Infrastructure solutions.
· Being the primary customer technical contact to drive problem determination and resolution.
· Working on-site with customers to provide technical support, setup assistance, and technical coverage for Infrastructure Solutions.
· Responding to clients, staff, service providers and vendors’ inquiries, providing technical assistance and support.
Desired Qualifications
· At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a Systems Engineer.
· Team player and strong time management and organizational skills.
· Solid understanding of Infrastructure components, including in-depth knowledge of Networking, Servers, Storage, Virtualization, Backup, Operating Systems, Cloud and others.
· A university degree preferably in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or any other related field.
· The following Certifications will be considered as an advantage:
o For Servers and Storage with HPE, Lenovo, IBM, Huawei and Oracle.
o For Virtualization, Backup, Operating Systems with Microsoft, VMware, Veeam & Linux.
o For Cloud IaaS/PaaS with AWS, Microsoft, Oracle, IBM.
o For any Firewalls with Cisco, FortiGate, Checkpoint, Huawei, Sophos, etc.
· Knowledge of installing, configuring, and troubleshooting UNIX/Linux based environments will be considered as an advantage .
· Knowledge and familiarity with using the Systems Management and Monitoring tools. Excellent verbal and written Greek and English language skills.
