This role involves managing daily operations of accounting service providers, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with IFRS/US GAAP. Responsibilities include overseeing month-end processes, payroll, reconciliations, budget preparation, and implementing internal controls. The role also acts as a key contact for audits and provides local financial, tax, and regulatory expertise to support decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operation of the accounting service providers, including month-end and year-end process, payable/receivable reconciliation, payroll and intercompany reconciliation
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of management accounts and financial statements in compliance with legal and group requirements (IFRS/US GAAP)
- Develops and implements internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for financial activities
- Coordinate, support and manage budget preparation and financial forecasts
- Perform budget and financial controls
- Support management accounting and reporting automation and appropriate workflow changes
- Act as a key contact person for statutory FS audit purposes and resolves the audit queries to ensure smooth audit process
- Provide local financial, tax, accounting and reporting expertise for decision making
- Coordinate and supervise all contracts approval process from the tax and regulatory perspective
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field;
- ACA/ACCA/CPA or similar qualification is a must
- 3–5 years of working experience as a Financial Controller or similar role
- 3-4 years Big4 experience
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and practices, financial regulations, and compliance requirements
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated leadership and management abilities
- Strong ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
