Are you an ACCA certified accountant with 5+ years experience in a senior role, looking for a position that blends hands-on financial management with strategic impact?
In this role, you will oversee financial functions for the groups entities, ensuring accuracy in reporting and regulatory compliance across accounting, reconciliations, and management accounts, with a particular focus on the payments and waste management sectors. Working closely with the CEO, you'll provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow), submit timely reports, and analyze financial data for trends and improvements.
- Reconciliations & Management Accounts: Prepare management accounts, manage bookkeeping, and oversee monthly reconciliations (bank, client, intercompany). Resolve discrepancies and prepare detailed management accounts/financial analyses for group entities, tracking business performance and supporting decision-making.
- Regulatory Compliance: Coordinate with auditors, manage VAT returns, and ensure tax compliance.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead annual budgets, conduct regular financial forecasting, variance analysis, and performance tracking against the budget and provide insights into potential risks and opportunities.
- Internal Controls: Design, implement, and monitor internal control systems to safeguard company assets and maintain data integrity, streamline processes, and review procedures for risk mitigation.
- CEO Reporting: Deliver financial reports, share insights on performance, and provide data-driven recommendations to support strategic goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- ACCA Certified (mandatory)
- 5+ years in senior accounting with expertise in reconciliations, management accounts, and compliance
Key Competencies:
