This professional will be responsible for the conception, design, development, and management of projects in the built environment.
Position's Duties and Responsibilities
- Assessing potential risks, materials, and costs involved in a project.
- Providing technical advice and creative solutions for construction challenges.
- Overseeing projects from start to finish to ensure high standards of construction and safety are maintained.
- Leading and directing the construction team and supervising on-site progress.
- Engaging in feasibility studies and writing bid proposals
- Ensuring project compliance with legal guidelines, and health and safety requirements.
- Coordinating with contractors, architects, and other project stakeholders.
- Utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software and other resources to design the frameworks of infrastructure systems.
- Scheduling material and equipment purchases and deliveries.
- Making sure the project complies with legal requirements, especially health and safety.
Position's Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- A Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or an associated field can be advantageous
- Relevant experience through internships can be highly beneficial.
- Knowledge and proficiency in industry-specific software, like AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other computer-aided design software are generally required.
- Strong skills in math, and engineering principles are necessary.
- Good communication and team collaboration skills are essential for effectively managing diverse teams and working with clients and other professionals.
