Company Overview:
We are exclusively partnered with an innovative and fast-growing Fintech payments firm headquartered in Limassol, Cyprus. Our client specialises in providing cutting-edge payment solutions to businesses globally, and are on an exciting growth period, they are looking to add a Finance Manager to join their team.
Role Overview:
The Finance Manager will work closely with the CFO, focusing primarily on financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors, banks, and regulators. You will oversee the financial reporting of the company’s group entities, ensuring the timely preparation of financial statements, regulatory filings, and other compliance-related matters.
Main Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the management accounting of a group of companies (currently 2), providing detailed reports on a monthly basis.
- Budgeting & Planning: Develop and implement the company’s financial planning, including the preparation of the annual budget.
- Financial reporting: Preparing financial statements in accordance with IFRSs, communication with external auditors, internal auditors, tax advisors etc
- Compliance & Regulatory Reporting: Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and other filings, and assist in preparing submissions to the Central Bank of Cyprus on a monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual basis.
- Audit Management: Coordinate with external auditors, internal auditors, and tax advisors to ensure the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards.
- Client Reconciliation: Perform daily reconciliation between client balances and counterparties.
- Banking & External Relationships: Maintain communication with banks and other financial service providers to manage cash flow and banking relationships.
- Team Leadership: Advise and assist accounting staff in managing journal entries and other accounting functions, ensuring all departmental staff adhere to internal regulations and procedures.
- Ad-Hoc Reporting: Prepare various ad-hoc management reports as requested.
- Operational Support: Perform additional duties as necessary or as instructed by the CFO to support the company's business and financial needs.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Qualifications: ACA or ACCA qualification is required.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a similar role such as Financial Accountant, or Finance Manager/Audit Supervisor/Assistant Manager. Previous experience in a Big Four firm or the FinTech industry is a major advantage.
Skills:
- Excellent command of both English and Greek.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with strong experience in using formulas and pivots.
- Experience in preparing Central Bank of Cyprus reports is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to manage a team and meet tight deadlines.
