At iledgends, we provide secure, tailored financial solutions for global businesses. Our Onboarding Team, within the Risk Department, plays a vital role in ensuring new merchants are onboarded seamlessly and in full compliance with AML/CFT regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Risk & Compliance Onboarding:
- Conduct due diligence and risk assessments for new merchants.
- Review KYC/KYB documents, financials, company structure, product offerings, and business models.
- Perform Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on high-risk profiles and escalate when needed.
- Monitor initial merchant transactions and flag anomalies or potential risk indicators.
- Contribute to improving internal compliance policies, onboarding workflows, and risk assessment tools.
Customer Onboarding & Relationship Management:
- Manage the end-to-end onboarding journey, from documentation to full platform integration.
- Serve as a trusted advisor during onboarding, ensuring merchants feel guided and informed.
- Deliver training and product walkthroughs to help clients get the most out of our platform.
- Maintain clear, proactive communication to build strong relationships and a positive first experience.
Internal Collaboration & Reporting:
- Work closely with Sales, Compliance, Operations, and Product teams to coordinate seamless onboarding.
- Collect and document customer feedback, onboarding KPIs, and key milestones in internal systems (e.g., CRM).
- Generate reports and provide insights to management to optimize client experience and risk controls.
Process Improvement & Subject Matter Expertise:
- Identify opportunities to streamline onboarding, reduce friction, and enhance compliance controls.
- Help define and update internal procedures, checklists, and training materials.
- Act as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) in onboarding and contribute to educating internal teams on evolving compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in onboarding, AML, or compliance in fintech, payments, or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of KYC/KYB, EDD, and onboarding regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and a client-centric mindset.
- Analytical thinking and a high attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, able to manage tasks independently while thriving in a collaborative environment.
- Fluent in English with strong MS Office and CRM tools proficiency.
