The Purchasing Manager will play a vital role in establishing and maintaining our supply chain, ensuring that we provide the highest quality products and services while adhering to our standard of understated elegance. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies in alignment with hotel objectives
- Manage procurement processes for all hotel operations, ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts and favorable terms
- Monitor inventory levels and oversee purchasing schedules to prevent stockouts and overstock situations
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements regarding purchasing and supplier relationships
- Evaluate supplier performance regularly, ensuring products meet required quality and delivery standards
- Collaborate with various departments to ascertain their purchasing needs and preferences, offering guidance on product options
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, hospitality management, or a related field preferred
- Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, ideally in the hospitality industry with luxury market experience
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to cultivate professional relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
- Proficiency in procurement software and inventory management systems
- Strong analytical skills with experience in budget management and cost control
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in Greek and English, and strong customer service orientation
