This role is about:
We are looking for a skilled Technical Support Engineer specializing in Point of Sale (POS) systems to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing POS terminals for our clients. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical installation and troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and be willing to drive long distances as needed.
You will:
- Assist external and internal customers with daily tasks related to the POS project
- Conduct thorough technical investigations to resolve client issues efficiently
- Create and manage merchant accounts to ensure seamless operations
- Install POS terminals on-site, ensuring proper setup and functionality
- Provide detailed transaction status checks to customers
- Be available for on-call support out of business hours, including evenings and weekends
- Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate IT teams and service providers
- Test merchant cases and payment methods to ensure system integrity
- Offer general technical information and support to customers experiencing issues
- Investigate and determine reasons for transaction declines, providing detailed feedback to customers
What we need:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience in customer service or front-desk roles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to clearly document issues and reproduce steps
- Above-average computer knowledge and technical skills
- Hands-on experience with POS terminal installation and maintenance (a plus)
- Familiarity with acquiring, payments, or merchant account management (a plus)
- Skilled in multitasking and managing multiple tasks at once
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to use multiple systems/applications simultaneously
- Proficiency in Greek and English languages
- Valid driving license is required
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
