The Communication Manager will work closely with both Faliro House and Oxbelly teams to coordinate and execute each company's communication efforts, including website, newsletters, social media, press releases and oversight of comms assets such as photography, video, print programs and company decks. This role requires fluency in both Greek and English, and the candidate must be based in Athens. The role is a full time, year-round position and splits responsibilities between the two companies.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with each company's team to align on communication goals and strategies, as both companies engage in a more external-facing communications plan in 2025
- Execute against communications strategy
- Ensure articulation and consistency of each company's desired identity
- Create, manage and edit content for the company websites
- Drafting press releases and liaising with our communication firm for send to press
- Social media management, including an estimated average of 1-2 posts/week on Instagram & Facebook
- Composing and sending out the monthly Oxbelly newsletters
- Coordinating and updating sponsorship decks and other company assets
- Managing and updating databases, such as outreach and press lists
- Tracking Faliro House project news and Oxbelly alumni news as relevant

About Oxbelly
Oxbelly, the non-profit founded by Christos V. Konstantakopoulos, producer and founder of Faliro House, serves international storytellers through its annual Retreat held in Costa Navarino, Greece, while helping shape a burgeoning Greek film industry through year-round offerings in Athens. Each year, the Oxbelly Retreat is built around distinct, innovative programs for storytellers working in different mediums. In 2024, the Oxbelly Retreat supported fellows working in film, television and literature workshopping their writing with both advisors and peers and engaging in dialogue across mediums through the interdisciplinary evening sessions. Requirements
- Passion for Faliro House and Oxbelly's mission and work
- Fluency in both Greek and English
- Based in Athens
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) preferred in communications and marketing related fields (e.g. marketing, journalism, public relations, communications, etc)
- Prior experience in communications/marketing related field
- Proficiency in the business use of social media platforms and email software, such as Instagram, Facebook, Linkedin and Mail Chimp
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Indesign, etc) a plus
- Excellent copywriting and editing skills in English and in Greek
- Experience in content creation with strong design skills
- Experience managing and executing successful social media and marketing campaigns
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously
- An interest in film, television, theatre and literature is a plus
