This role involves creating responsive and user-friendly web applications by translating UI/UX designs into clean and efficient code. The Front-End Developer will collaborate with designers, back-end developers, and product managers to deliver high-quality solutions while ensuring scalability and performance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop clean, efficient and maintainable code for web applications using modern frameworks and programming languages (e.g., Vue.js, JavaScript, node.js, HTML, CSS).
- Translate UI/UX design wireframes into functional and interactive elements.
- Ensure applications render seamlessly across devices by implementing responsive design principles.
- Address technical feasibility challenges in UI/UX designs.
- Optimize web applications for maximum speed, scalability, and performance.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks.
- Conduct unit tests and integration tests to ensure application quality.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues to maintain smooth application functionality.
- Work closely with designers, back-end developers and product management team to deliver cohesive and functional applications.
- Participate actively in project planning, sprint meetings and team discussions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and clarify project expectations.
- Provide updates on development progress and deliver solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of code and development workflows.
- Contribute to team development processes by participating in code reviews and sharing best practices.
- Collaborate with designers to implement user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces.
- Provide feedback to improve design usability and technical feasibility.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in front-end development are a plus.
- Proven experience as a Front-End Developer or similar role.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks preferably Vue.js.
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
- Familiarity with performance optimisation tools and techniques.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous learning.
