Mykonos Bay Resort & Villas is an art-designed luxury beach resort in Megali Ammos, Míkonos, just a few minutes from the center, offering breathtaking sunset views and authentic Greek hospitality. The white-washed property embodies Mykonian architecture and is located just a short distance from Mykonos town. The resort, established in 1985 and renovated again in 2023 with our modern Mediterranean Restaurant on top of our new big beach club, combines tradition and luxury services to provide a unique experience for guests around the pool, beach, and restaurant areas.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Waiter/Waitress at Mykonos Bay Resort & Villas either for the Restaurant or the Beach / Pool side area. The Assistant Waiter/Waitress will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service in the restaurant and beach club areas, assisting with food & beverage service, ensuring seamless communication with guests and colleagues, and supporting in basic food preparation tasks. Our Restaurant has two spaces, indoors and outdoors with the capacity of 200 guests, serves Greek/Italian inspired dishes, keeping the traditional and the modern aspect of Mediterranean cuisine with International touches, an all-day open bar with a variety of drinks, has a house DJ daily from noon till the evening, provides exceptional service to everyone, from our long-time hotel guests to walk-ins, combines the Cycladic vibe with innovative touches, serves breakfast a la carte in the morning, magical breathtaking views to enjoy your cocktails during sunset and a romantic atmosphere for dinner in the evening.
Qualifications
- Customer Service and Communication skills
- Experience in Food & Beverage Industry, Fine-Dining or fast-paced venues is a must for the Restaurant Waiters
- Basic knowledge of Coffee, Wines and Spirits
- Food Service knowledge will be a plus, not mandatory
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to stand for long hours and work under pressure in the heat and wind of the summer
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor
- Prior experience in a hospitality company at least 1 year
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Proven knowledge of English & Greek language
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests promptly
- Present menus and assist guests in making beverage selections (water, aperitifs, wine)
- Take accurate drink orders, support your Head Waiter/Waitress with the food orders
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in with guests and resolving any issues
- Clear and reset tables after guests have finished dining
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area/poolside/beach
- Supporting Room Service when needed
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other restaurant personnel to ensure efficient service
- Process payments and handle cash transactions when necessary, mainly during busy times
- Uphold health and safety standards in all tasks
- Always keep an eye contact with your Head Waiter and Restaurant Manager, ask for their help and try to solve any issue or guest complain with calmness and politeness
