Role Overview
The Assistant Housekeeping Manager assists in all the departmental activities by the guidance of the HSK Manager and ensures that all long-term goals for the housekeeping department are met
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Assisting the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing daily operations of the housekeeping department
- Managing and training housekeeping staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction
- Coordinating and assigning tasks to team members, ensuring efficiency and timely completion
- Monitoring and inspecting guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure compliance with hotel standards
- Conducting inventory management of cleaning supplies and linens, ensuring stock levels are maintained
- Assisting in implementing and maintaining housekeeping procedures, policies, and safety protocols
- Handling guest complaints or special requests, ensuring prompt and effective resolutions
- Collaborating with other hotel departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction
- Supporting in the recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluations of housekeeping staff
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, including sanitation and hygiene regulations
Requirements
- Experience in a similar managerial position, ideally in a 5-star Hotel
- Very good knowledge of English language.
- Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to coordinate effectively and motivate a team, towards the achievement of important organizational goals
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
