Position: Bookkeeper

Location: Paphos, Cyprus

Type: Full-time (40 Hours per week / Mon-Fri)

Responsibilities:

Accurately record daily financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
Perform weekly and monthly reconciliations of various accounts, including bank statements, handling both Euro and foreign currency accounts.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances identified during the reconciliation process.
Ensure all transactions are recorded in a timely and accurate manner.
Preparation and submission of VAT, VIES, and Social Insurance returns.
Preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Requirements:

Proven experience as an accountant/ bookkeeper.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or relevant field.
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and reconciliation processes.
Proficiency in accounting software (namely InteliSoft accounting software).
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting.
Strong attention to detail, and high level of accuracy in data entry, with strong numerical aptitude.
Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in English is a must (both verbal and written).
Greek as an additional language is an advantage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
