We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated
Supply Chain Senior Officer for our client, a
pharmaceutical company commercializing proprietary prescription and OTC products. If you have a keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and a passion for numbers, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs & specifications
- Execute and manage Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) system
- Analyze material requisition plans to maintain production schedule and optimize inventory level
- Issue purchase orders to suppliers for the procurement of materials
- Monitor open purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and addressing potential issues for timely resolution
- Develop & implement procurement plans aligned with budgetary constraints and organizational priorities
- Source potential supplier/vendors and evaluate their capabilities
- Prepare and issue RFQs, RFPs, RFTs
- Negotiate terms, conditions and pricing with suppliers to secure the best value
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure adherence to contracts, delivery schedules and quality standards
- Resolve supplier disputes, delays or quality issues in a timely and effective manner
- Stay updated on market trends, supplier innovation and regulatory changes affecting procurement
- Analyze procurement costs and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Develop strategies to optimize inventory levels and avoid overstock or shortages
- Create and maintain relationships with vendors/suppliers
- Generate and distribute regular procurement and inventory reports
Requirements
- BSc degree in Supply Chain management, Logistics, Business Administration or Finance
- 3-5 years of working experience in a Procurement or Logistics department in Pharmaceutical company
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques
- Talent in negotiations and networking
- Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgment
- Knowledge of supplier or third-party management software
- Ability in decision-making
- Ability to build and sustain vendor relationships
- High computer literacy (Excel, MS Office, Collaboration tools)
- Very strong communication skills (verbal and written) both in Greek and English
