On behalf of a client, one of the leading companies in manufacturing and production in Cyprus, we are currently looking for a Product Development Executive.
Objective
The Product Development (PD) Executive plays a critical role in driving the innovation and development of new products from concept to market launch. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for creativity, market analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. The PD Executive works closely with the Head of Brand Strategy, Quality Manager, and other key stakeholders in the supply chain to ensure that new products align with the brand's vision, meet market needs, and adhere to quality standards.
Position’s Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the funnel ideation, conceptualization, and development of new products in alignment with the brand strategy.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for new products in cross-markets.
- Develop product concepts, prototypes (MVPs), and specifications in collaboration with quality, design and engineering teams.
- Work closely with the Head of Brand Strategy to integrate product development with marketing and brand strategies, ensuring that new product initiatives align with the overall brand vision and relevant market positioning.
- Present product development plans and progress to top management and key stakeholders.
- Manage the end-to-end product development process, including timelines, budgets, and other related resources.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including procurement, quality, design, engineering, marketing, and sales, to ensure successful product development and launch.
- Identify and mitigate risks throughout the product development lifecycle in collaboration with the project team.
- Collaborate with the Quality Manager to ensure that new products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in implementation of quality assurance processes and testing protocols to ensure product reliability and safety.
- Monitor and coordinate in addressing any quality or production issues that arise during development and post-launch.
- Monitor and analyze product performance in the market, gather feedback, and present it to the management team.
- Guided by the Head of Brand strategy, analyze product performance metrics and report on key outcomes to top management.
Position’s Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Product Development, or any other related field. Master’s degree in MBA is considered a plus.
- 1-3 years of proven experience in new product development, product management, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of market research, consumer insights, and competitive analysis.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to drive innovation.
- Knowledge of quality assurance processes and regulatory requirements is a plus.
- Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
