Position: Senior Consultant – Assistant Manager | Risk Advisory Services, Nicosia/Limassol
Our Financial Services (FS) Risk and Regulatory team is part of Deloitte Middle East Risk Advisory and is responsible for advising the top management of leading international clients in the financial services industry (e.g. Banks, FinTechs, Regulators and Central Banks) in matters relating to strategy, financial, regulatory and business process risks.
The team is rapidly expanding and seeking to recruit dynamic and high calibre professionals at the levels of Senior Consultant to Assistant Manager based in our Nicosia and Limassol Offices, and service our engagements locally and in the Middle East region, both onsite and remotely.
The Role
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Working with the top management of leading international clients in the financial services industry and advising clients in strategic, financial and regulatory matters
- Delivering client engagements focused on the regulatory universe (e.g. Basel III, CDR IV/CRR, stress testing, Recovery and Resolution, Open Banking, PSD2 etc.)
- Assisting clients to identify, analyse and solve challenging issues in the areas of risk and capital and liquidity management, and develop business strategies
- Developing reports and other deliverables, performing analysis and presenting conclusions to clients
- Keeping up to date with current regulatory developments and undertaking effective research towards providing tailor-made solutions to client problems
- Supporting senior management in developing and winning new business, including proposal development
- Contributing to building the Deloitte brand in our core service offerings, including participation in industry forums, thought leadership and internal events
Requirements
- Degree from a reputable university in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Risk, Finance, Economics or in any other related disciplines.
- Pursuing or holding a professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CFA)
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional services organization, financial services institution
- Understanding of the practical impacts of changing regulation
- Experience in carrying out qualitative or quantitative analysis and developing reports
- Proficient in MS Excel, including advanced application of formulas, and PowerPoint, with the ability to effectively summarise and present information and conclusions
- Excellent command of the Greek and English language, both verbal and written
- Ability to communicate complex topics effectively both verbally and in writing
- Willing to travel and periodically work overseas (including in the Middle East)
