POSITION TITLE: Key Accounts Specialist

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Key Accounts Specialist is responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with key clients to ensure long-term success and satisfaction. This role involves understanding client needs, providing tailored solutions, driving revenue growth, and coordinating with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer service. The specialist will also be responsible for identifying opportunities to expand accounts, resolving any issues that arise, maintaining detailed account records, and conducting international travel to meet with global clients and stakeholders.
DETAIL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sales: conducting sales activities, acquiring new clients, closing sale contracts, and providing follow-up support to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, acting as the main point of contact to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- B2B Sales and Account Management: Manage key business-to-business (B2B) accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts.
- Account Planning: Create and execute strategic account plans to achieve client objectives and business growth.
- Needs Assessment: Understand client needs and challenges, providing customized solutions and product recommendations.
- Revenue Growth: Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products or services, driving revenue within existing accounts.
- Issue Resolution: Proactively address any issues or concerns that clients may have, ensuring a swift resolution and maintaining client trust.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as sales, marketing, product development, and customer service to deliver tailored solutions and seamless client experiences.
- International Travel: Conduct international travel as required to meet with global clients, attend meetings, and manage key accounts across different regions.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain detailed records of account activities, prepare reports on account status, and track client interactions.
- Sales Forecasting: Provide accurate forecasts and insights to assist in sales planning and inventory management.
- Market Insight: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to better serve clients.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and terms with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
- Continuous Improvement: Attend training and stay updated on product offerings and sales techniques to continuously improve account management skills.
JOB SPECIFICATION
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: Proven experience in account management, sales, or a similar role within a commercial setting.
