Job Description
Waiter (m/f/d)
You are an ambassador for the exceptional service that are hallmarks of our food & beverage experience. Your warm, personal attention and knowledge of our outstanding offerings makes guests feel unique and valued.
What You Will Be Doing
- Ensures excellent standards during service and when welcoming customers.
- Participates in setting up the point of sale as well as tidying and cleaning the premises and equipment.
- Arranges the setting of tables.
- Help with setting up the service equipment.
- Welcome, guides and advises customers on their choices.
- Clears tables and replaces the covers.
- Ensures the durability of equipment available at points of sale.
- Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff.
- Room Service.
- Manage the payment process for customers e.g. (process cash or card payments, collect the bill payment).
- Ensures the development of a consistent and benchmark quality of service, to satisfy customers while remaining aware at all times.
- Knows the catering offer at the point of sale as well as the other services of the hotel.
- Applies brand and hotel procedures and policies.
- Epitomizes the Heartist's spirit in your interactions with customers.
- Knows the services offered by the hotel, informs customers in response to queries and encourages use of the facilities
- Works closely with hotel departments
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a 4 or 5 * hotel or a high-end service restaurant.
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent command of English language (Additional languages will be considered as an asset).
- Degree in Hospitality / Tourism will be considered as an asset.
- Ability to work effectively as a team
- Good presentation and elocution (constant contact with customer)
