As a Social Media Officer you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the social media presence of the Bank of Cyprus Group including the two insurance companies Eurolife and Genikes Insurance.
The successful candidate will be driving brand awareness, engagement, and audience growth across key social platforms, including Instagram and TikTok, liaise with experts to create and manage content, monitor performance, and act as the key point of contact for assigned accounts. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Social Media Strategy Execution
- Execute comprehensive social media strategies that align with overarching marketing goals and brand guidelines.
- Manage and oversee daily operations of social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms.
- Ensure consistent brand voice and messaging across platforms.
- Act as the primary point of contact for social media matters related to assigned accounts or campaigns.
Content Creation & Management
- Liaise with experts to create engaging static and video content tailored for social platforms, focusing primarily on Instagram Reels and TikTok videos.
- Work collaboratively with internal creative teams, external agencies, and influencers to develop content that aligns with brand narratives and objectives.
- Develop and maintain content calendars, ensuring consistent posting schedules and timely delivery of content.
- Identify and leverage trends in social media to enhance engagement and platform growth.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive storytelling across digital channels.
Platform Management & Posting
- Oversee daily posting and ensure optimal performance across channels.
- Manage influencer partnerships and execute influencer marketing campaigns in collaboration with external agencies.
- Ensure content aligns with social media best practices and platform algorithms for maximum reach and engagement.
Analytics & Performance Optimization
- Monitor, track, and analyze the performance of social media campaigns and organic content.
- Use platform insights and third-party tools to evaluate engagement, growth, and ROI.
- Produce regular reports and recommendations based on data analysis to optimize future campaigns.
- Adjust content strategies and posting schedules based on performance metrics and emerging trends.
Community Management
- Engage with online communities, responding to comments, questions, and messages in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the relevant internal teams to escalate and resolve customer inquiries through social channels.
- Monitor brand sentiment and identify opportunities to enhance community relationships.
- Identify and address any issues related to social media engagement or brand perception.
ACADEMIC / PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Digital Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations or related related to the role field.
- Master’s degree in relevant to the role subjects will be considered as an advantage.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
- Proven experience in engaging with social media platforms, trends, and analytics tools.
- Excellent content creation skills, with a creative mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English.
- Creativity and Innovation – Ability to generate fresh ideas and leverage trends to enhance social media presence.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in content creation and platform management.
- Strategic Thinking – Develops long-term strategies to build and grow social media channels.

- Adaptability – Responds to changing trends and adjusts strategies accordingly.
