VACANCY: Sports Sales Manager
Aphrodite Hills Resort, Europe’s multi-awarded destination and one of the must-visit resorts in the world, is looking for a Sports Sales Manager.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to promote the hotel/resort’s sports amenities, including tennis courts, golf course and any specialty sports offerings.
- Identify target markets, including tour operators, corporate groups, sports teams, fitness retreats, and special interest groups.
- Create and offer tailored sports packages that meet the needs of different market segments.
- Build and sustain relationships with key decision-makers in sports organizations, event planners, and corporate clients.
- Respond to inbound inquiries, conduct site tours, and manage client communications through the booking process.
- Cultivate long-term relationships for repeat business and upselling opportunities.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets for sports-related services and packages.
- Monitor booking trends and adjust sales tactics to maximize revenue during peak and off-peak seasons.
- Regularly report on sales activity and performance against targets, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, campaigns, and content that highlight the hotel/resort’s sports facilities.
- Represent the property at relevant industry events, conferences, and trade shows abroad to build brand awareness and attract new business.
- Keep up to date with trends and competitor offerings in the sports and leisure sector.
- Identify and recommend new products, services, or features that could enhance the hotel/resort’s sports offerings and attract new clients.
- Work closely with other sales and operations teams to coordinate efforts and ensure smooth service delivery for clients.
- Provide feedback to other departments on client preferences and areas for improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven track record in sales, ideally within the hospitality, sports, or event management industries.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse clients.
- Knowledge of the sports (mainly Golf) and leisure industry, as well as the ability to identify emerging trends.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a results-driven mindset.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Flexible and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM software.
