Junior Project Manager

We are seeking a highly organised and technically proficient Project Manager with expertise in DevOps practices to manage software development projects and optimise operational workflows. The ideal candidate will have a passion for leveraging DevOps tools and methodologies to streamline project delivery and improve collaboration between development and operations teams.
What You’ll Do
- Project Planning & Execution: Oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- DevOps Integration: Collaborate with development and operations teams to implement DevOps practices and tools into project workflows.
- Agile Methodologies: Facilitate agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.
- CI/CD Management: Coordinate the integration and deployment pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient software releases, as well as prepare the release notes for internal and external purpose.
- Infrastructure Coordination: Work with teams to manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and ensure scalable, secure systems.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing updates and managing expectations.
- Monitoring & Feedback: Utilise DevOps monitoring tools to track project performance and identify areas for improvement.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Project Management Skills: Proven experience managing software development projects, preferably in a SaaS or tech environment.
- DevOps Expertise: Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and containerisation.
- Agile Knowledge: Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience facilitating agile ceremonies.
- Jira Proficiency: Skilled in using Jira for project tracking and sprint management.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities to coordinate across technical and non-technical teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Certifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or Agile (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, PMI-ACP).
- Experience in a SaaS or DevOps-centric organisation.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
