We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Head of Quality Control (QC) to join our dynamic team at CURITY PHARMA. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the Quality Control Department, ensuring the highest standards of product quality and compliance with regulatory requirements. While this is a leadership position, it is not strictly managerial; we are looking for someone who is eager to be actively involved in the day-to-day operations of our QC lab.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the daily operations of the QC department, ensuring that all laboratory activities are performed efficiently and to the highest standards
Develop, implement, and maintain QC protocols, QC Monographs, SOPs, and testing methods in compliance with GMP, GLP, and other relevant regulations
Conduct hands-on testing, analysis and release of raw materials, packaging materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure quality standards are met
Preparation and execution of Sampling Plans
Control of reference and working standards
Analytical methods development
Preparation of Cleaning Validation Protocols and Reports
Preparation of Stability Protocols and Reports
Supervise, mentor, and train QC staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
Coordinate with other departments, such as Production and R&D, to ensure seamless integration of QC processes into the overall manufacturing workflow
Oversee the calibration, maintenance, and qualification of laboratory instruments and equipment
Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of all QC activities, maintaining meticulous records in compliance with regulatory standards. Review of Quality Control Analytical Records
Participate in internal and external audits, and work closely with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
Investigate and resolve any quality-related issues as well as any OOS results, implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements in QC methodologies, and regulatory changes, ensuring that CURITY PHARMA remains at the forefront of quality assurance in the medical cannabis industry

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, or a related scientific discipline. A Master's degree or PhD would be advantageous
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality Control role within the pharmaceutical industry with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
Strong hands-on experience in laboratory techniques and equipment used in QC, including HPLC, GC, spectrophotometry, and microbiological testing
In-depth knowledge of GMP, GLP, and other relevant regulatory requirements
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions
Strong leadership and team management skills, with a passion for mentoring and developing staff
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Fluency in English and Greek is required
