On behalf of our client, a long established shipping and logistics Company based in Limassol, we seek to employee a Financial Controller.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Oversee Accounting Department
- Prepare monthly and yearly management reporting for management including budgets and forecasts
- Participate in forming the Company strategy and prepare reporting to management for informed decision making
- Ensure compliance with tax requirements
- Monitor financial transactions to ensure compliance with anti-corruption and anti-money laundering policies
- Impose internal controls to strengthen financial security
- Suggest measures to reduce costs and increase profitability
- Monitor agreements with third parties including banks, suppliers and customers
- Liaise with external auditors and cooperate for the annual audit
Key Skills/Experience:
- BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other relevant field.
- Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA) is essential
- Fluent in Greek and English
- More than 7 years in relevant positions
- Shipping industry experience will be considered as an advantage
