Job Description
We are excited to be on the hunt for a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a DevOps Engineer.
In this role, you will work closely with development teams to design and maintain robust solutions for operating our sites and services at scale. You will help provide the tools, environments, and best practices that enable our engineers to deliver exceptional products. Your expertise will support our software operations across diverse environments, empowering the development team with optimal infrastructure and operational tools.
Responsibilities
- Deploy and Maintain Services: Operate and optimize our software services across multiple environments, ensuring reliability and performance.
- Support Development Infrastructure: Collaborate with developers to understand and address infrastructure and operational needs, providing reliable and scalable solutions.
- Tool Development and Setup: Design, implement, and maintain tools to support infrastructure requirements.
- Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with infrastructure and operational processes.
- Cost Optimization: Monitor and manage the budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and services.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain clear documentation and promote knowledge sharing to ensure consistent practices across the team.
Requirements
- 3+ years in a DevOps or related role, with hands-on experience in infrastructure management and operations.
- Ability to work with and present to stakeholders, including developers, to align on goals and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of leading cloud platforms and services.
- Experience managing infrastructure under heavy load with concepts of high availability.
- Proficient in mitigating large-scale cyber threats, including DDoS and bot attacks.
- Skilled in using monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to track system health and optimize performance.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps for streamlined infrastructure management.
- Strong knowledge of security concerns and best practices, including secrets and certificate management.
- Expertise in autoscaling configurations and performance optimization.
- Proficiency in DNS, DDoS mitigation, and bot protection measures.
- Ability to handle complex challenges and provide agile solutions.
- Effective communicator, able to collaborate seamlessly across teams and departments.
